Role: Power Platform Solution Architect

The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on expertise across the Microsoft Power Platform suite, a background in client-facing consulting engagements, and the communication skills to work effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Power Platform Solution Architect to lead the technical workstream of a Microsoft 365 digitization engagement for an enterprise client. This is a full-project role spanning discovery through go-live. During the discovery phase, the architect will assess the current environment, gather requirements, and define the solution architecture. During project execution, the architect will lead the build, oversee the development team, and ensure the platform is delivered to agreed specifications.
Responsibilities
Discovery Phase
· Conduct structured workshops and interviews with business stakeholders, end users, and subject matter experts to understand current-state processes, workflows, and pain points
· Assess the existing technology landscape including SharePoint configurations, Excel-based processes, and integration touchpoints with internal and external systems
· Document end-to-end data flows, approval logic, automation requirements, and reporting needs across all functional areas in scope
· Evaluate the feasibility of integrations with internal systems and external APIs; identify technical risks and dependencies
· Develop high-level epics and detailed user stories based on discovery findings, ensuring requirements are traceable and complete
· Produce a high-level solution architecture document covering platform design, data model, environment strategy, integration approach, and role-based access model
· Produce low-level technical design documentation covering SharePoint site structure, Power Automate flow logic, Power Apps screen architecture, and Power BI data model
· Define the MVP scope in collaboration with the BA/PM and client stakeholders, with a clear rationale for what is deferred to later phases
· Provide effort estimates for all identified workstreams and contribute technical inputs to the final Statement of Work
Project Execution Phase
· Own the end-to-end technical architecture throughout delivery, ensuring all build decisions are consistent with the approved solution design
· Configure the Microsoft 365 environment including SharePoint Online, Power Platform environments (Dev/Test/Prod), and application lifecycle management practices
· Lead the build of core platform components across SharePoint, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI
· Conduct regular design and code reviews with the development team to maintain quality and consistency
· Manage technical integration work, including coordinating system access with the client''s IT team and resolving dependencies
· Assess the impact of scope changes or new requirements and communicate adjustments to timeline and effort as needed
· Support UAT by helping the client distinguish between defects, scope changes, and user adoption issues, and by prioritizing the resolution of outstanding items
· Oversee data migration from legacy spreadsheets into the new platform, including data validation and reconciliation
· Deliver solution design documentation, an admin guide, and a technical handover pack as part of the go-live package
· Provide technical support during the post-launch warranty period
Required Skills & Experience
· 12–15 years of experience in technology consulting or enterprise solution delivery, with a significant focus on Microsoft 365 and Power Platform engagements
· Hands-on expertise across SharePoint Online, Power Apps (canvas and model-driven), Power Automate, and Power BI
· Demonstrated experience leading both discovery and delivery phases on enterprise consulting projects
· Strong facilitation skills with the ability to lead workshops and present technical recommendations to non-technical audiences
· Experience designing integration architectures connecting Power Platform with enterprise systems and external REST APIs
· Ability to produce clear and comprehensive technical documentation including architecture diagrams, design specifications, and user stories
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable engaging with senior client stakeholders
· Prior consulting experience working across multiple clients and industries
· Experience coordinating and leading offshore delivery teams
· Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery practices
