Job Description:
The SAP Fioneer FPSL Banking Consultant is responsible for hands-on functional configuration and implementation of SAP Fioneer Financial Products Subledger (FPSL) for a range of banking products such as loans, deposits, money-market instruments and securities. Duties include configuring contract types, event processing, posting schemas, valuation areas, accounting layers and ledgers; aligning accounting logic with IFRS 9 classifications, effective-interest-rate accruals, fees and charge handling; supporting initial recognition, accruals, amortisation and derecognition postings; validating accounting outcomes and posting results. The consultant will assist inbound integration from core banking and treasury platforms, validate event payloads, support outbound integration to SAP S/4HANA Universal Journal, and verify document splitting, GL derivations and posting completeness. Responsibilities extend to executing unit, system-integration and user-acceptance testing, performing source-to-FPSL and subledger-to-SAP GL reconciliations, analysing and resolving posting errors or integration defects, and supporting parallel runs with legacy systems. Additional tasks include preparing configuration documents, test scripts, mapping and reconciliation artefacts, transferring knowledge to client teams, and providing go-live and hyper-care support. Required experience: 4 8 years in banking finance or accounting system implementations with practical exposure to SAP Fioneer FPSL and SAP S/4HANA Finance, strong understanding of banking-product accounting and event-based accounting, and solid knowledge of IFRS 9 fundamentals. Preferred experience includes core-banking integration, high-volume transaction processing, reconciliation cycles, other SAP Fioneer solutions, and participation in large SAP programmes.
