Summary
Job Title: Linux RHEL System Administrator
Location: Dallas, TX (100% Onsite 5 Days/Week)
Duration: Long-Term Contract
Employment Type: W2 Only
Pay Rate: Up to $50/hr. on W2
Responsibilities
- Administer, configure, and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers.
- Install, patch, upgrade, and optimize Linux systems for performance and stability.
- Manage users, groups, permissions, file systems, storage, and networking.
- Perform Linux server hardening and implement security best practices.
- Troubleshoot complex Linux OS issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Configure and manage LVM, NFS, iSCSI, DNS, DHCP, routing, and firewall settings.
- Support system monitoring, backups, disaster recovery, and high availability.
- Automate routine administration tasks using Bash/Shell scripting.
- Work closely with application, network, and security teams.
- Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of Linux System Administration experience.
- Strong experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
- Expertise in:
- Linux Administration

- Bash/Shell Scripting
- Systemd
- YUM/DNF Package Management
- Strong knowledge of:
- DNS
- DHCP
- Routing

- LDAP (NSS/PAM/SSSD)
- Sendmail/SMTP
- Database administration/support
- Strong troubleshooting and production support experience.
