Data Analyst (0–2 Years Experience)

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our team. This role is ideal for entry level candidates or early-career professionals with up to 2 years of experience who are passionate about transforming raw data into actionable business insights. You will work with cross-functional teams to collect, clean, analyze, and visualize data to support data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and organize data from multiple sources
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights
• Build and maintain dashboards and reports for stakeholders
• Write and optimize SQL queries to extract and manipulate data
• Support business teams with ad-hoc data requests and analysis
• Create data visualizations to communicate findings clearly
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across reports
• Collaborate with engineering/product teams on data collection processes
• Document data definitions, processes, and reporting logic
• Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders

Required Skills & Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor''s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Business Analytics, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in SQL (writing queries, joins, aggregations, subqueries)
• Working knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets (pivot tables, formulas, VLOOKUP)
• Familiarity with a data visualization tool (Power BI, Tableau, or Looker)
• Basic knowledge of a programming language for data analysis (Python or R preferred Pandas, NumPy)
• Understanding of statistics fundamentals (mean, median, distributions, correlation, hypothesis testing)
• Basic understanding of databases and data warehousing concepts
• Familiarity with data cleaning and preprocessing techniques
• Understanding of key business/domain metrics relevant to the industry

Nice-to-Have (Bonus Skills)

• Exposure to cloud data platforms (AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, Snowflake, Azure Synapse)
• Experience with ETL tools or data pipelines
• Knowledge of A/B testing and experimentation
• Familiarity with version control (Git)
• Exposure to machine learning concepts
• Internship, academic capstone project, or personal project involving real datasets
