Job Description
We are seeking an Application Programmer III to join our team building a strategic platform for regulatory capital reporting and analysis under Basel rules. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Basel regulations, risk-weighted asset calculations, SQL, Python, and big data technologies and a proven ability to design, develop, and optimize scalable data-intensive applications for regulatory capital reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver hands-on application development to support current and target capital reporting processes.
- Collaborate with data sourcing, architecture, and compliance teams to implement target architecture and migrate to the strategic platform.
- Elaborate requirements for data sourcing elements for calculating risk-weighted assets.
- Define business logic and process flows for computing Basel rules-based capital ratios.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory capital reporting under Basel rules.
- Tune performance and optimize data-intensive applications to achieve scalability and stability.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong background in Basel regulations, including Basel 3 Endgame, FRTB, and SACCR.
- Ability to read Python and translate logic into modular components.
- 5+ years of SQL programming experience, preferably on Oracle Exadata.
- Experience with data preparation tools such as Altryx and Trifacta.
- Strong data analytical skills and problem-solving ability.
- Clear communication skills and effective teamwork in agile environments.
Preferred Skills:
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a quantitative discipline.
- Background in capital calculations and regulatory compliance for financial institutions.
- Experience with big data technologies, including Spark and Hadoop.
- Familiarity with Quartz platform and enterprise application scaling.
- Experience with agile methodologies and SDLC processes.

- Limited direct client interaction with a primary focus on internal stakeholders and compliance outcomes.
