Summary

Farnsworth Group is seeking an Architectural Associate - Entry Level in Phoenix, AZ. In this role, you will assist Project Managers by completing project design solutions for a wide variety of public and private sector projects. The position provides design support using a variety of graphics software and media, learning to prepare construction documents, beginning to learn client relations, and engaging in all aspects of the design process. As an Architectural Associate, you will receive a well-rounded AXP experience for NCARB.

What You'll Do:
  • Visit project sites to review and document existing conditions
  • Supports preparation of creative and innovative design ideas, concepts, and solutions while participating as an integral member of the design team.
  • Provides design support under supervision for schematic design, design development, and construction documents.
  • Assists in preparing client presentation materials using design application skills and creative ideas.
  • Uses a creative approach to perform tasks and responsibilities on projects in an organized, timely, and consistent way.
  • Self-checks work for accuracy, omissions, legibility, and compile data for document compliance in accordance with the Project Delivery Manual.
  • Provides support to tasks within project teams
  • Keeps open communication within team and with project managers.
  • Assists with coordination among partners and consultants.

What You'll Need:
  • Master's Degree in Architecture preferred; Bachelor's Degree in Architecture required; degree must be from an accredited university
  • 0-2 years of professional experience
  • Experience with Adobe Creative suite, Enscape, Lumion, and Microsoft Office preferred
  • Proficient use of Revit
  • Problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and motivation to learn and be curious about design
  • Ability to collaborate with team members and follow instructions
  • Interest in completing the ARE exams
