Security Analyst with
a financial client. We are seeking an Information Security Analyst to support cybersecurity risk management for digital asset and cryptocurrency initiatives. This role serves as a key security liaison between business, engineering, and risk teams, ensuring digital asset products, services, and vendor partnerships comply with internal cybersecurity standards and regulatory expectations. The analyst will lead risk assessments, oversee vendor security posture, support audits, and help guide secure product development across the crypto ecosystem.
Qualified candidates will have the following experience and skills:- 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity, technology risk, or related security functions.
- Hands-on experience with digital assets, blockchain technologies, crypto custody, or wallet/key management.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, SOC 2, FFIEC).
- Proven ability to conduct cybersecurity risk assessments and evaluate third-party/vendor security controls.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate risk to business, engineering, and leadership stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:- Act as the primary cybersecurity advisor for digital asset business teams, ensuring secure design and policy alignment.
- Lead cybersecurity risk assessments for crypto products, custody models, wallet operations, blockchain integrations, and related vendors.
- Oversee vendor cybersecurity due diligence, evidence review (SOC 2, pen tests, cloud posture), and remediation tracking.
- Support policy enablement, security training, and compliance activities across audits and regulatory engagements.
- Contribute to crypto-focused incident preparedness, response planning, and executive-level risk reporting.
Preferred Qualifications:- Cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CISA, CCSP, or similar.
- Training or credentials related to blockchain, digital assets, or cryptocurrency security.
- Knowledge of smart contract risks, key management systems, and cloud security controls.
- Experience working with GRC platforms and security governance processes.
