Senior Data Scientist – Job Overview

Day to Day:

The Retail Rx Consumer Analytics team is seeking a high-impact data scientist to join the Patient Engagement & Innovation Portfolio. In this role, you’ll partner with data scientists and data engineers to enhance the Retail Pharmacy’s outbound messaging strategies to support key business and financial objectives. This position focuses on leveraging our vast retail pharmacy data, experimentation, and advanced analytics to improve prescription adherence, increase pickup rates, reduce returns to stock, and enhance the overall patient experience across outbound communication channels. You will play a critical role in translating business questions into analytical solutions, measuring performance through well‑defined KPIs, and communicating insights that inform strategy and decision‑making. Qualified candidates will have a Bachelors‑ degree (Masters preferred) in a quantitative field with 7+ years of relevant work experience in a Data Science role.

 

Patient Engagement & Innovation Portfolio

  • Translate stakeholder business requirements into well-scoped analytics approaches and synthesize large‑scale data into actionable strategies.
  • Support development of machine learning models, experiment analysis, and creating presentations for technical and non-technical stakeholders

 

Overview of Tools: Patient Engagement & Innovation Portfolio

  • Strong programming skills in SQL with the ability to extract impactful insights.
  • Hands-on programming experience in Python (PySpark is a plus), with data analysis, and building and deploying machine learning models.
  • Solid foundation in statistics, experiment design, A/B testing, causal analysis.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience
  • Experience with prompt engineering, LLMs, Gen AI tools and products is a strong plus
