Overview
We re seeking a Cloud Storage Migration Engineer to lead and execute the migration of large-scale data from Google Cloud Storage to Amazon S3. This role will focus on designing efficient, scalable data transfer solutions while ensuring data integrity, security, and performance throughout the migration lifecycle.
This is a hands-on engineering role with potential architectural input, ideal for someone experienced in large data migrations across cloud platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement a migration strategy from Google Cloud Platform to AWS for large-scale file storage
- Execute and optimize data transfer workflows using tools such as AWS DataSync
- Build and manage AWS infrastructure using AWS CDK
- Ensure data integrity and validation throughout the migration process
- Monitor migration performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize throughput
- Implement security best practices for data in transit and at rest
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless transition and minimal disruption
- Document migration processes, architecture, and best practices
- Near 0 downtime for migration
