Container Security Architect/Engineer (Kubernetes)

# Job Description

We are seeking a Container Security Architect to translate existing container security standards and control objectives into clear implementation guidance and validation criteria. This role is design-focused and supports a container platform modernization effort by producing practical, consumable security guidance for downstream implementation teams.

The role does not involve building infrastructure or developing tooling. The focus is on documenting how defined security controls should be implemented and how they should be validated.

# Key Responsibilities

- Translate existing container security standards and control objectives into:

- Implementation instructions

- Validation and verification criteria

- Document how security controls should be applied within container platforms and workloads

- Provide clear guidance that enables consistent implementation across environments

- Review existing approaches and identify gaps or ambiguities relative to defined standards

- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to align on control interpretation and application

- Produce concise documentation suitable for handoff to implementation teams

# Scope and Focus

- Design and documentation only; no platform builds or operational ownership

- Focused on implementation guidance and validation of pre-defined controls

- Primary emphasis on AWS-based container environments, with guidance adaptable to other platforms

# Required Skills and Experience

- Experience working with container security standards and control frameworks

- Strong understanding of Kubernetes security concepts, including:

- RBAC

- Network policies

- Pod Security Admission

- Runtime container security concepts

- Experience documenting security implementation guidance and validation requirements

- Familiarity with AWS container environments

- Ability to produce clear, concise technical documentation

# Nice to Have

- Familiarity with container platforms in additional cloud environments

- Experience supporting container security or platform modernization efforts

- Background in security architecture or control validation
