Position SummaryWe are seeking an
Engineering Technician - Electrical Test & Process Support to join a growing manufacturing team supporting the production and finishing of advanced electronic components.
This role is ideal for a hands-on technician with an
Electronics Engineering Technology (EET), Electronics Technology, or related technical background who enjoys troubleshooting electrical issues, supporting manufacturing equipment, improving processes, and developing technical documentation.
The Engineering Technician will support electrical test processes, troubleshoot equipment and process-related issues, assist with preventive maintenance activities, run engineering tests and experiments, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions. This position partners closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Operations teams to improve product quality, equipment reliability, and process efficiency.
Key ResponsibilitiesElectrical Testing & Troubleshooting- Support electrical testing processes for manufactured electronic products and assemblies.
- Troubleshoot electrical, electronic, and equipment-related issues identified during production and testing.
- Assist with diagnosing equipment failures and determining root causes of recurring issues.
- Support corrective actions and verify effectiveness of implemented solutions.
- Assist engineering teams with electrical and functional testing activities.
Manufacturing Process Support- Identify and resolve manufacturing process issues while ensuring compliance with established process specifications.
- Operate production equipment as required to support engineering projects, testing, and process development.
- Monitor processes for consistency, quality, and adherence to operational standards.
- Collaborate with production personnel to address manufacturing concerns and improve workflow efficiency.
Equipment Reliability & Maintenance- Support troubleshooting, repair, calibration, and preventive maintenance of electrical test equipment and manufacturing systems.
- Assist with equipment setup, qualification, and validation activities.
- Help maintain equipment reliability and minimize process downtime.
- Recommend improvements to equipment performance, safety, and productivity.
Documentation & Continuous Improvement- Create, update, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, troubleshooting guides, and process documentation.
- Collect, organize, and summarize test and process data for engineering review.
- Prepare technical reports, memos, and process specification revisions.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, throughput, and equipment performance.
- Cross-train in multiple manufacturing areas to provide operational support and process coverage.
Required Qualifications- Associate Degree in Electronics Engineering Technology (EET), Electronics Technology, Engineering Technology, Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing, electronics, engineering, or industrial environment.
- Working knowledge of basic electricity, electronics, electrical circuits, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, process specifications, schematics, engineering drawings, and reports.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and standard computer applications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience supporting electrical test equipment or electronics manufacturing processes.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting manufacturing equipment and production systems.
- Experience writing SOPs, work instructions, troubleshooting guides, or technical documentation.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and equipment reliability practices.
- Knowledge of electronic components and manufacturing quality standards.
- Experience collecting and analyzing manufacturing or test data.
- Exposure to root cause analysis and continuous improvement methodologies.
