We are searching for a talented Senior Software Test Engineer to join our Modeling and Simulation (M&S) development team. The greater team is building and deploying a next-generation modeling & simulation framework. The Software Test Engineer will be responsible for software verification and validation, including test planning, development, execution, analysis and associated documentation. Supports bug reporting and tracking and software test processes. Assists in the development of the test strategy in order to meet the release schedule. Adheres to established testing procedures. Works under general supervision. Responsible for defining test strategies, plans, procedures and reports. Responsible for writing tests, executing those tests, and reporting the results. Designs, constructs and implements manual and automated tests that thoroughly exercise the product from the perspective of the customer. Assesses system and software level requirement specifications, software design, interface design, test, and other development related documentation as needed. Assists with implementation of the enhancements, including documentation, instruction and hands-on-training of others.
Required Skills- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or relevant technical field
- with a current DoD Secret security clearance
- Ability to work in dynamic environment.
- Self-starter with excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
Required Experience- Developing and running test automation.
- Experience with creating robust automated software tests.
- Experience with developing and managing automated testing to support Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Familiarity with Agile software development principles and practices.
- Experience creating and managing testing and user facing documentation.
- Experience developing comprehensive test plans, strategies, and procedures to validate software functionality and performance
- Experience with API and UI driven testing
- 10+ years' experience as a Software Test Engineer
Desired Qualifications- Experience with Python and/or Javascript.
- Experience with Linux.
