Shift: Friday-Monday, 10:30 AM - 8:30 PM (AZ Time)
About the RoleWe are seeking an Information Security Engineer to support security operations, risk management, and compliance initiatives. In this role, you will work on low- to moderately complex security challenges, contribute to process improvements, and help strengthen enterprise security posture through analysis, remediation, and collaboration.
Responsibilities- Provide information security consultation to improve awareness and compliance with enterprise security policies, standards, and processes
- Analyze and remediate findings from security assessments and risk reviews
- Support incident response efforts using SIEM, SOAR, and related tools
- Aggregate and analyze data to identify trends in security risk exposure
- Conduct security control testing and recommend improvements
- Review and evaluate security policies and standards; propose enhancements
- Assist in information asset inventory, reconciliation, and certification processes
- Develop and deliver security awareness and training materials
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve security issues and achieve objectives
- Provide guidance on mitigating controls and security best practices
- Interact with internal stakeholders and support client inquiries
- Mentor junior team members as needed
Minimum Qualifications- 2+ years of experience in Information Security Engineering or equivalent experience (work, training, military, or education)
- 1+ year of experience with incident response protocols and tools
- 1+ year of experience with SIEM and/or SOAR platforms
- 1+ year of experience with cloud technologies (e.g., Azure, Office 365)
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) tools
- Knowledge of security analytics, incident response, and digital forensics
- Understanding of data security controls (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS, encryption, malware protection)
- Experience with log analysis for incident response or threat hunting
- Familiarity with Identity and Access Management (IAM)
- Knowledge of offensive security concepts and adversarial thinking
- Experience in financial services or a regulated industry
- Experience working in a 24/7 Security Operations Center (SOC) environment
- Relevant certifications (e.g., GIAC, OSCP, OSCE, OSWE)
- Cloud certifications (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure)
