Description
The Medical Device Deployment Technician will support a large scale refresh of Capsule Neuron medical devices across active patient care environments. This role is highly hands on and onsite, focused on the physical replacement, configuration, and validation of legacy devices with minimal disruption to clinical workflows.
The technician will work closely with internal technical leads to inventory existing devices, stage new hardware, and deploy replacement units across ICU, PACU, OR, clinic, and ambulatory settings.
Key Responsibilities
Perform onsite replacement of legacy medical devices with new Capsule Neuron devices
Remove existing devices, disconnect cabling and mounts, and install new hardware
Reconnect peripherals, manage cabling, and secure devices to existing mounts
Configure device settings (naming, location, basic parameters)
Validate network connectivity and confirm communication with backend systems
Conduct front end testing to ensure device functionality before sign off
Participate in onsite asset inventory and device counts by location
Work in active patient care areas while adhering to clinical safety and privacy protocols
Collaborate with internal staff to coordinate deployment sequencing and access
Document completed deployments and report issues as needed
Required Skills & Qualifications
Hands on experience with IT hardware installation or deployment
Solid technical aptitude and comfort with basic device configuration
Understanding of basic networking concepts (connectivity testing, ports, cabling)
Ability to follow technical deployment procedures with minimal supervision
Comfortable performing physical work (lifting, mounting, uninstalling/installing devices)
Willingness and ability to work onsite in clinical environments

Prior exposure to medical devices, bedside technology, or device refresh projects
Familiarity with Capsule Neuron, VitalStream, or ChartExpress platforms (nice to have)
Previous asset management or inventory experience
Awareness of working around patients, including sensitive or high acuity areas

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
