Our Client is seeking a IoT .NET Software Engineer to build and deliver business solutions and connectivity that link shop-floor machines and robots with manufacturing systems with supporting multiple facilities nationally with a collaborative and innovative mindset. As a Software Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and evolving backend services and integrations that power manufacturing solutions and work close to end users and stakeholders, contributing to robust, scalable, and production-ready systems used across shop floors. This role combines deep technical work with customer interaction, ownership, and continuous learning in a multicultural, distributed environment.
Job Duties:- Design, develop, and maintain backend services supporting manufacturing and edge connectivity solutions
- Collaborate with frontend developers, product owners, and stakeholders to deliver end-to-end solutions
- Build production-ready APIs and integrations, following sound architectural and quality practices
- Support customer-facing workstreams by identifying needs, providing technical expertise, and ensuring expectations are met
- Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices, tooling, and ways of working
- Actively collaborate with colleagues across cultures, sites, and time zones
Requirements:- 7+ years experience developing backend services with .NET versions 8/9
- 3+ years experience with front-end development in React, Angular, or Blazor
- Experience with API design principles, integration patterns, and production-quality practices
- Experience with shop-floor integrations, manufacturing systems, and/or IoT solutions
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services, and CI/CD pipelines and container-based hosting using Docker and/or Kubernetes
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Hagerstown, MD.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $38.95 - $67.49/hr.
