ApTask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking an Associate Engineer - on-site (PM Shift) for a position with a Global Biotechnology Company located in New Albany, OH. This is a 12-month contract opportunity. Summary: The ideal candidate is an Automation Technician with strong hands-on PLC troubleshooting skills, experience reading ladder logic, HMI familiarity, and experience with packaging equipment. This role involves collaborating with mechanical technicians and diagnosing electrical and automation issues within a GMP manufacturing environment. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.
Responsibilities: - Provide technical engineering support on all system and equipment optimization strategies, upgrades, replacements, and modifications
- Evaluate and determine if utility systems, process maintenance, and instrumentation/calibration/electrical systems are maintained in compliance with all applicable industry and FDA standards
- Support production by quickly troubleshooting and resolving issues on packaging equipment
- Assist during regulatory agency inspections and provide technical support in response to the FDA and other regulatory agencies
- Support cGMP validation of equipment and processes
- Complete advanced maintenance activities or operate and monitor plant support equipment in accordance with cGMPs, SOPs, and job plans
- Assist the team with maintaining an up-to-date working spare parts inventory system
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment and system failures
- Interpret and review utility, process system/equipment, and P&ID plans
Requirements: - High school diploma / GED and 6 years of experience, OR Associate degree and 4 years of experience, OR Bachelor's degree
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Automation Technician
- Rockwell / Allen Bradley PLC troubleshooting experience; must be able to log in and use the PLC program for basic troubleshooting
- Experience troubleshooting production equipment, including using a multimeter and reading electrical schematics
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work a PM shift from 6:00 pm - 6:30 am on a 2-2-3 schedule
Desired skills: - Experience with Siemens or B&R controls
- Familiarity with sub-systems such as Systech serialization, Cognex cameras, or SCADA
Pay range: up to $33.07 per hour
