Quality Inspector M/F/X Permanent position | Full-Time | Rochester, NY

What will your role be? The Quality Inspector will perform
Source inspection , vendor material prior to delivery including dimensional inspection, review of vendor supplied data and perform
release of material to be shipped.

Responsibilities
:

Record inspection results using provided tools, checklist and Blueprints & Specifications

Participate as needed is MRB activities to provide follow-on inspection for disposition activities

Complete Non-conformance report for any deviations from specification found, including clear concise description, pictures

Methodology, performance and reporting:

Clear reporting, travel expenses with respect to budget

Timely escalation of conflicts and blocking points to allow the Project to recover and adjust planning

Clear communication with Vendors and Sourcing Project,

Records of non-conformance and acceptance

Record of inspection cycle time

Identification of material status

What skills and qualifications are we looking for?
Mechanical Inspector with at least 2 years experience,
ASQ Certified Quality Inspector or
Certified Mechanical Inspector preferred

Experience using common inspection hand tools, calipers, micrometers, gage pins, gage block, thread gages

Experience using
Mechanical Inspection Equipment include surface plate (and associated methods) Profilometer, Comparator, radius gages, Protractor

Good visual acuity

Able to lift and handle max 35 lbs

Demonstrate creativity to understand best inspection method to utilized available equipment and gages


Mechanical Drawing and GD&T interpretation required

Good verbal and written skills to effectively communicate status

Windows 10 and Microsoft office / Teams experience preferred

Good interpersonal skills

Strong Quality skillsets

Experience in supplier relationship and management

Organized, reactive, agile, strong communication skills
