Role: Senior Cloud Network Engineer

Duration: 12 Months
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Networking Engineer to design, implement, and optimize networking solutions across our cloud environments. You will be responsible for ensuring secure, scalable, and high-performing network connectivity for our global systems. This role will partner closely with cloud, DevOps, and security teams to deliver reliable cloud networking architectures that meet the needs of a growing, mission-critical platform.
Cloud Networking Design & Implementation
- Architect and maintain networking solutions in AWS and Google Cloud Platform including VPCs, subnets, routing, peering, and hybrid connectivity.
- Design and configure load balancing, API gateways, private service access, and
- service meshes for modern application environments. Implement and manage cloud-based firewalls, NAT, VPNs, and SD-WAN
Security & Compliance
- Enforce network security best practices, including zero-trust principles, segmentation, and encryption in transit.
- Partner with the security team to monitor for vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and potential threats.
- Support compliance requirements (SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, GDPR, etc.) through secure network design.
Operations & Troubleshooting
- Lead advanced troubleshooting of network connectivity, latency, and throughput issues.
- Build automation scripts and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Pulumi, etc.) for network provisioning.
- Maintain observability and monitoring tools to ensure health and reliability of network services.
- Provide on-call support for critical infrastructure networking issues.
Responsibilities:
- 7+ years of experience in network engineering, with at least 3+ years in cloud networking.
- Deep knowledge of AWS VPC networking, Google Cloud Platform VPC & VPC-SC, or Azure Virtual Networks.
- Strong background in routing, BGP, DNS, firewalls, and load balancing in cloud and hybrid environments.
- Experience with Kubernetes networking (CNI, service mesh, ingress/egress).
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation).
- Familiarity with security tools, monitoring, and observability (Datadog, Prometheus, ELK, etc.).
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Certifications: AWS Advanced Networking Specialty, Google Cloud Platform Professional Cloud
Network Engineer, CCNP/CCIE, or equivalent.
