Data Engineer

Looking for a SQL data engineer with SSIS and excellent database skills including experience with SQL server, queries, stored procs in a data warehouse environment.
The goal of this position is to help drive integration between various data management programs. Current & new systems are being added to bring in more data, more extracts, more transformations, more loads, and more puzzles that we get to solve. The individual has to be a hands-on developer with 7+ years of experience with delivering enterprise-level systems.
Responsibilities:
Understand business requirements and translate them into data and technical requirements
Create and maintain high functioning ETL using SSIS for inbound, outbound, and internal datasets.
Design and develop SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and scheduled tasks to manipulate data in a repeatable and automated manner.
Ready to take ad-hoc request from business for data extracts and various reports.
Design and execute test scripts and test scenarios
Perform all data handling in accordance with guidelines, and with security and privacy requirements in mind.
Support the team and peers through collaborative coding, design sessions, and peer code review
Requirements:
7+ years'' experience in ETL development
7+ years SQL Server (SQL management and internals knowledge needed)
Experience should include working with business team as well as technical resources
Demonstrated experience in developing creative solutions to technology challenges
Solid technical background with hands-on experience in ETL and/or software development, SQL queries, and database technologies
Experience with Microsoft data technologies, including SQL Server, VS, SSIS,
Experience with the software development life cycle
Independent and collaborative worker who takes the initiative to identify and function well to new opportunities and projects
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
