A financial servics firm is seeking a new Data Governance Analyst to support enterprise data governance initiatives in a remote setting.

Responsibilities:
- Support enterprise data governance initiatives focused on secure and permanent data deletion
- Partner with business and technical stakeholders to develop and implement data deletion controls and governance processes
- Perform dataset discovery, inventory, and metadata management across Azure data environments
- Analyze data and processes to identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for improved governance and compliance
- Coordinate project activities, track deliverables, and communicate status, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders
Qualifications:
- Experience with data governance, data management, data controls, data privacy, or data lifecycle management
- Hands-on experience with Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage, Delta Lake, Azure Data Factory, SQL, Python, and PySpark
- Experience developing and executing test plans and validating data controls
- Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables in a project environment
- Strong data analysis, communication, and project management skills
Desired Skills:
- Experience with secure data deletion initiatives
- Background in financial services or enterprise data environments
