This position reports to:
Continuous Improvement Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to optimize the Production organization's assembly methods, processes, and equipment to minimize labor hours in accordance with business strategies related to quality, efficiency, costs, and safety. Each day, you will ensure appropriate production methods, cycle time, equipment performance, and materials/components in support of production targets. You will also showcase your expertise by defining the working phase sequence of a new production process to achieve the targeted product cost and equipment investment budget.

The work model for the role is: On Site

You will be mainly accountable for:
  • Identifying and recommending improvement opportunities and implements improvement projects, ensuring adherence to timeframe, quality, and cost requirements.
  • Approving the design for processes developed internally or externally and performing final tests with respect to the project.
  • Providing support to Production during the internal/external process/equipment start-up, defining action plans and training relevant maintenance and production resources.
  • Evaluating new process technologies to improve productivity, quality, and cost reduction, defining and leading testing activities, approval criteria, and external provider choices.

Qualifications for the role
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial engineering with 6 years experience or Associate Degree with 8 years experience
  • Highly skilled in planning new automation and improving existing automation processes.
  • Enjoy working with production teams to drive improvements in Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery,
  • Environment and People Development.
  • Knowledge of control systems, I/O, PLC and bus communication. Labview, C, C++ programming language is preferable.
  • Knowledge of industrial robot operations and servo systems, including electrical and software interfaces,
  • Experience in Layout Development and optimization.
  • Advanced level in English language (Speaking and writing skills)
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
