Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer (AWS) to help manage, maintain, and enhance our cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in core infrastructure, cloud migration, and AWS services, with the ability to support both production and integration environments.

This role will actively support the transition of on-premises infrastructure to AWS, manage cloud resources, and ensure availability, security, and performance of systems.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain AWS-based infrastructure environments

  • Support migration of on-premises infrastructure to AWS

  • Create, configure, and manage EC2 instances, virtual machines, and recovery procedures

  • Understand and support AWS architecture, including:

    • Availability Zones and Regions

    • Static IPs, Public and Private IPs

    • DNS, network routing, and network architecture

  • Configure and manage:

    • Network Load Balancer (NLB)

    • Application Load Balancer (ALB)

    • Firewalls and load balancers

  • Manage S3 buckets and storage solutions

  • Maintain AWS infrastructure environments (Linux ~90%, Windows ~10%)

  • Support infrastructure monitoring using Dynatrace or similar monitoring tools

  • Assist with API and REST web service integrations

  • Support file transfers using SFTP and FTP

  • Participate in scheduled support:

    • 1-2 weekends per month (9:00 AM - 12:00 PM)

    • 1 evening per week (around 8:30 PM)

  • Work within a 40-hour work week


Required Skills:

  • Strong understanding of cloud computing principles and AWS services

  • Hands-on experience with:

    • EC2, VPC, subnets, routing, security groups

    • Load balancers and firewalls

    • AWS recovery and backup procedures

  • IBM MQ / Message Queue experience is a MUST HAVE (or similar messaging systems)

  • Strong understanding of REST APIs and web service integrations

  • Experience with infrastructure monitoring tools (Dynatrace preferred; others acceptable)

  • Solid Linux administration experience; basic Windows knowledge


Preferred Skills:

  • Exposure to Azure cloud environments

  • Experience with hybrid infrastructure environments

  • Automation and scripting experience is a plus


Certifications:

  • AWS Solutions Architect Certification - MUST HAVE
