Job Summary Under general supervision of the, Manager of Enterprise Operations, this position is responsible for the operation, reliability, and delivery of campus data platforms and analytics services. Primary activities include improving, monitoring, and maintaining data warehouse delivery services. In addition, this position will develop and maintain database views for existing data, execute manual processes, and deliver ad hoc data requests from campus data stores, utilizing standard methodologies, current technologies and DevOps philosophies. #CalPolyITS

Key Qualifications - Demonstrated skill using databases/query languages to store, manipulate, and retrieve data (e.g., MySQL, Oracle, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, Aurora, or Redshift)
- Experience using data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Oracle Analytics Cloud, Tableau, Power BI).
- Demonstrated knowledge of scalable data warehousing, ETL pipelines, and schema modeling.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and implement critical maintenance fixes and to isolate and correct malfunctions, including interface problems.
- Experience with monitoring, maintaining, and improving data warehouse and data lake operations in AWS tools and services.
Education and Experience - Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in a related field and two years of relevant experience. Additional experience which demonstrates acquired and successfully applied knowledge and abilities shown above may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis. An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
Salary and Benefits Anticipated Hiring Range: $98,808 - $102,792 Per Year
Classification Range: $77,904 - $113,496 Per Year
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Anticipated Hiring Range referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Classification Range may be broader than what the University anticipates paying for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
