Cable Installation Technician

We are seeking a skilled Fiber Cable Technician to install, test, and maintain fiber optic infrastructure for local businesses and multi-dwelling units (MDUs) such as apartment complexes. This role plays a critical part in delivering high-speed, reliable connectivity by ensuring fiber networks are built to quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities

• Install, route, and terminate fiber optic cabling (aerial, underground, and inside plant)
• Perform fiber splicing, testing, and troubleshooting using OTDRs, power meters, and related tools
• Set up and connect fiber infrastructure for commercial buildings and apartment complexes

Required Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in cable, fiber, or telecommunications installation (fiber preferred)
• Knowledge of fiber optic cabling, connectors, and splicing methods

Preferred Qualifications

• Fiber splicing experience (fusion or mechanical)
• Experience working in MDUs or commercial environments
• Certifications such as ETA, BICSI, or FOA (a plus, not required)

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
