This is a hands-on development role for someone who brings a strong integration engineering background along with Workday experience and is comfortable supporting a live production environment. You will design and enhance integrations, troubleshoot complex production issues, work with APIs, and partner with internal teams and external vendors to keep critical business systems connected and operating effectively.

- Develop and maintain complex integrations using Workday Studio and other Workday integration technologies
- Develop solutions utilizing Workday Extend and Orchestrate
- Build, maintain, and troubleshoot APIs and web service integrations
- Provide hands-on production support for existing Workday integrations, identifying root causes and resolving integration failures
- Determine whether integration issues originate internally or with third-party systems and coordinate directly with vendors when necessary
- Develop and support integrations involving critical HR, payroll, recruiting, and employee data
- Create and maintain HCM workflows, custom connectors, and automated processes
- Support integration testing and continuous integration/automation practices
- Partner with HR, IT, business stakeholders, and external vendors to understand requirements and deliver effective technical solutions
- Triage technical issues and manage them through resolution
- Ensure integrations and development practices comply with applicable security standards, policies, and governance requirements
- Contribute to new automation and Workday enhancement initiatives across HR and related business functions
What We're Looking For
- Approximately 5+ years of professional software development, integration engineering, Workday development, or related technical experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Workday Studio
- Experience developing and supporting Workday integrations in a production environment
- Experience with Workday Extend and/or Workday Orchestrate strongly preferred

- Understanding of HR and/or payroll processes and related data structures
- Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills

- EIB
- Core Connectors
- Cloud Connect
- BIRT
- Boomerang integrations
- Workday Recruiting
- Paradox
- HiredScore
- Additional Workday integration and automation technologies
Previous experience with every technology listed above is not required.
We're particularly interested in candidates who bring a strong integration engineering foundation, hands-on Workday Studio experience, and the ability to troubleshoot and support complex production integrations.
Work Environment
This is an individual contributor position working as part of a small, collaborative technical team. The successful candidate should be comfortable working independently while partnering closely with other developers, business stakeholders, and vendors.
This role may be performed remotely; however, candidates must be able to support business hours that include 9:00 a.m. Eastern Time meetings when required, and must be willing to travel to Buffalo, New York, periodically for critical meetings and business needs. Candidates located within approximately 100 miles of Buffalo may be expected to work onsite Monday through Thursday.
Why This Role?
This is an opportunity to join an established Workday environment where your work will have an immediate impact. Rather than simply implementing a new system, you'll help support, troubleshoot, enhance, and expand integrations that are already critical to day-to-day business operations.
If you're an integration engineer who enjoys hands-on development, Workday Studio, APIs, troubleshooting, and solving complex production problems, we'd like to hear from you.
