Workday Engineer
Location: Pennington, New Jersey
Contract Duration: 12 Months

Role Overview
The Workday Configuration Analyst provides HR system administration, including business process configuration, reporting development, end-user training, and data management. This role supports the maintenance of Workday as a best-in-class, employee-experience-forward platform. The position involves partnering with Workday team members, IT, business partners, vendors, and business leaders to meet the organization's HR technology needs, with a focus on modules such as Core HCM, Compensation, Talent, Payroll, Time, Absence, and Benefits.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure complex Workday business processes with a focus on Payroll, including integrations and troubleshooting.
- Perform administrative functions such as tenant configuration, data loads, integrations, and reporting.
- Review business procedures and workflows to ensure system features are fully utilized and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
- Work within a controlled systems environment by defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards.
- Provide pre- and post-launch end-user support, change management, issue resolution, testing, and training.
- Manage mass data loads via EIBs and test integration inputs and outputs.
- Create reports for auditing the effectiveness of configuration changes.
- Document technology specifications for current and future configurations.
- Maintain accurate change management documentation to satisfy internal and external audit controls.
- Act as a domain expert for feature releases and issue resolution, supporting the definition of scope, prioritization, and implementation of system changes.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in configuring complex Workday business processes, with a focus on Payroll.
- Ability to perform Workday administrative functions including tenant configuration, data loads, integrations, and reporting.
- Knowledge of creating reports and using them for auditing purposes.
- Proficiency in mass loading information via EIBs and testing integration inputs and outputs.
- Understanding of Workday's Implementation Methodology.
- Experience providing end-user support, change management, and training for Workday processes.
- Functional knowledge of HR and HR systems across multiple functions.
Preferred Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or a related field.
- 3+ years of Workday HCM experience.
- Workday Pro or Workday Certifications.
- A solid understanding of at least three Workday modules, including Core HCM, Compensation, Talent, Payroll, Time, Absence, and Benefits.
- Experience with Workday Integrations.
- Knowledge of Workday business process, core setup, and security framework.
- Deep understanding of the Workday data model, corporate system architecture, and data loading procedures.
- Expertise in cloud-based multi-tenant systems.
Work Environment
This is an onsite position. This role requires collaboration with various teams and business partners to deliver effective HR technology solutions.
