Java Full stack Developer

Job Role : Java Full stack Developer

Location : North York , Canada (Candidate must need to travel USA )

Mode of hire : Full time /Contract - Both

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and deploy full-stack web applications using Java (backend) and modern front-end frameworks.
• Build RESTful APIs and microservices architecture for scalable, secure services.
• Work on frontend UI/UX using frameworks like Angular / React / Vue, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Integrate with relational (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB) and write efficient queries.
• Participate in code reviews, ensure clean, maintainable, testable code, and enforce best practices.
• Optimize application performance, ensure high availability, and manage scalability challenges.
• Deploy applications via CI/CD pipelines and work with DevOps/cloud teams (AWS / Azure / Google Cloud Platform) as needed.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues and contribute to root cause analysis.
• Collaborate across teams (product, QA, DevOps) in Agile/Scrum environment.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies, recommend improvements, and mentor junior engineers.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience (e.g., 3+ years) as a Full Stack Developer with a strong emphasis on Java backend.
• Deep expertise in Java and frameworks such as Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA.
• Solid hands-on experience in front-end technologies: JavaScript/TypeScript, frameworks like React or Angular; HTML, CSS.
• Experience building RESTful services and working with microservices architecture.
• Good knowledge of databases (relational and/or NoSQL) and data modelling.
• Proficiency with version control (e.g., Git) and familiarity with build tools (Maven/Gradle).
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes) and cloud platforms is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, ability to work independently and in a team.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Desired / Bonus Skills

• Experience with messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ) or event-driven architecture.
• Prior exposure to performance tuning of Java applications, profiling, memory management.
• Familiarity with UI/UX best practices and responsive design.
• Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD), automated testing frameworks (JUnit, Selenium).
• Working knowledge of DevOps tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline).
• Experience in domain lock-in (e.g., Healthcare, Finance or Staffing/Services industry) is a plus.
