Repair and Maintenance Technician

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Corvallis, OR that is seeking a Repair and Maintenance Technician.

Responsibilities:
* Lead the maintenance and repair of specialized printing equipment used in the print test operations group
* Oversee printer maintenance requests, prioritize, and assign tasks to technicians
* Support all aspects of ensuring maximum uptime and performance of print test equipment

Senior Responsibilities:
* Applies extensive knowledge of the job skills, company policies and procedures to complete complex, specialized assignments/tasks in creative and effective ways
* Comprehensive understanding of the general/technical aspects of the job
* Works on assignments that are complex in nature and require judgment, initiative, and technical/specialized knowledge to resolve problems and/or develop recommended solutions
* Work is completed with minimal supervision and assignments may be completed without established procedures
* May determine methods and procedures for new assignments
* Troubleshooting and repair of electrical and mechanical systems on custom built equipment
* Participate in the development of maintenance and operational documentation of equipment
* Evaluate spare parts needs and use available systems to warehouse and track inventory/availability
* Reads/interprets mechanical drawings, schematics, printouts, specifications and test procedures
* Performs tests to determine the functionality of mechanical or computer equipment
* May participate in basic design and analysis via computer-aided design
* Ensure instruments are calibrated and verified on a regular basis
* Participates with engineers in the testing, debugging and troubleshooting of new and existing equipment and products
* Creates new test programs/procedures as needed for new technologies

REQUIREMENTS:
* Typically an Associate's degree or equivalent experience and 6+ years of experience; May include highly experienced individuals performing higher level or equivalent work who are non-degreed or degreed in an unrelated field
* OSHA Required Electrical Safety Training
* OSHA Required Lock Out Tag Out Training
* Ability to edit or create programs using contemporary command languages to control the equipment
* Knowledge of PLC controlled equipment, able to monitor and trouble shoot
* Advanced knowledge in the field of electro mechanical technology and software
* Knowledge of Hazardous Communication

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
