Senior Infrastructure Administrator, Network
Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Infrastructure Administrator, Network to design, implement, and support enterprise IT infrastructure across a complex, multi-site environment. This role will be responsible for ensuring network reliability, security, and scalability while supporting both on-premise and cloud-based systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement IT network infrastructure in alignment with established policies and standards, including servers, network equipment, and cloud solutions.
- Oversee and support Azure and AWS environments, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and security.
- Manage interconnectivity between multiple sites and data centers to ensure seamless communication and data flow.
- Monitor and audit IT systems proactively to maintain high performance and security standards.
- Coordinate and execute regular patching cycles, troubleshoot infrastructure issues, and implement improvements as needed.
- Lead network security efforts, including routing, firewall configuration, and access control management.
- Respond to and coordinate resolution of network and security incidents, minimizing downtime and risk.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior IT infrastructure team members, supporting their development and success.
- Maintain and optimize existing network infrastructure to ensure reliability and performance.
- Install, configure, test, and document network components according to design specifications.
- Ensure adherence to IT infrastructure policies, procedures, and lifecycle management practices across systems, servers (virtual and physical), and service providers.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 6+ years of hands-on experience as a Network Engineer (or 12+ years of progressive experience).
- Strong expertise in enterprise network security solutions (e.g., Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto).
- Proven experience designing and managing enterprise wireless network solutions across multiple locations.
- Experience with infrastructure monitoring and logging tools for performance tracking and security analysis.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to clearly communicate issues and solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, CIS, or equivalent experience.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure), including deployment and optimization of cloud infrastructure.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or similar industry credentials.
