Role Summary
Seeking a Senior AI Engineer to serve as a hands-on technical leader designing, building, and scaling Agentic AI and Generative AI solutions for healthcare. This role focuses on architecting multi-agent AI workflows, LLM and RAG-based applications, and integrating with enterprise AI platforms while ensuring HIPAA compliance. The ideal candidate has strong software engineering expertise with hands-on experience in LLMs, AI agents, RAG, cloud technologies, and modern data platforms.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
- 8+ years of hands-on software engineering, AI engineering, or data engineering.
- Strong programming experience with Python, Scala, and PySpark.
- 5+ years of experience with Databricks.
- 5+ years of experience with orchestration tools such as Azure Data Factory (ADF) or Apache Airflow.
- 5+ years working with Big Data technologies including Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, HDFS, and MapReduce.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- 5+ years of experience with relational and NoSQL databases including MySQL.
- 5+ years of experience working in Agile development environments using GitHub, Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience building Generative AI applications using:
- Large Language Models (LLMs)
- LangChain
- LangGraph
- Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
- Vector Databases
- Azure OpenAI
- Model Context Protocol (MCP)
- AI Agents
- LangFuse
- 2+ years of experience with container technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
- 1+ years of experience building backend services or full-stack applications using technologies such as FastAPI, Flask, Node.js, React, Angular, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within the healthcare industry or with clinical datasets.
- Experience building AI solutions for regulated industries.
- Knowledge of HIPAA, Responsible AI, and AI governance best practices.
- Experience with Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and enterprise integration.
- Contributions to open-source projects, technical publications, or patents related to AI or software engineering.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
