Job Description:

The client is seeking a SQL Database Developer/Administrator to support database development, performance optimization, and data transformation efforts while collaborating with business teams, infrastructure teams, and analytics stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and review database schemas for application releases.
  • Perform database maintenance (index rebuilds, table reorganization).
  • Support day-to-day database operations and troubleshooting.
  • Optimize database performance and query efficiency.
  • Assist with database upgrades and migration strategies.
  • Administer multiple SQL Server databases across environments.
  • Develop views, stored procedures, triggers, and functions.
  • Work with Microsoft BI stack (SSRS, SSIS, SSAS).
  • Develop dashboards and reports using Power BI.
  • Support ETL processes and data transformation.
  • Participate in unit testing and assist with system/UAT testing.
  • Ensure compliance with CJIS architecture standards including JRA, NIEM, NCSC, and GFIPM.
Required Skills
  • 5+ years experience with:
    • Microsoft SQL Server 2019/2022 (Development & Administration)
    • SSRS, SSIS, SSAS
    • ETL processes
    • Power BI dashboards
    • Writing Views, Triggers, Stored Procedures, Functions
    • Database performance tuning (indexes, constraints, keys)
    • Windows Server 2019/2022
    • PowerShell or Windows shell scripting
Nice to Have
  • Database design tools such as ERWIN or Embarcadero
  • RUP / structured development methodology
  • CONNX ETL tool
  • Disaster Recovery / Business Continuity Planning
