Responsibilities

Manage and optimize Fastly CDN platform operations, including VCL logic, caching strategies, and edge compute features.
Architect and implement advanced edge delivery solutions to reduce origin load, improve latency, and maximize cache hit rates.
Collaborate with application teams to optimize delivery performance through caching, compression, and edge-side logic.
Manage SSL/TLS certificate lifecycles, edge security configurations, and WAF policies.
Integrate and tune bot protection tools at the edge to prevent malicious traffic.
Support and maintain NGINX Plus reverse proxy tier with performance tuning and configuration updates.
Automate CDN and proxy deployments using Python, Ansible, and CI/CD tools like Jenkins.
Design and implement routing solutions across Fastly, NGINX, and Azure networking services.
Lead incident response and troubleshooting across CDN, proxy, and application layers.
Write and deliver clear post-incident reports and maintain detailed documentation.
Collaborate with vendors and cross-functional teams to resolve issues and enhance performance.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field.
8+ years of experience in CDN management, cloud infrastructure, network engineering, or DevOps (focus on content delivery/web traffic).
Expert-level Fastly CDN skills: VCL, cache optimization, edge compute, performance tuning.
Strong working knowledge of NGINX/NGINX Plus for reverse proxy and load balancing.
Experience with bot mitigation platforms (Kasada or similar) a plus.
Hands-on Microsoft Azure networking services (App Gateway, Load Balancers, Autoscaling).
Proficiency in Python, Ansible, and automation for infrastructure as code/configuration management.
Experience integrating CDN and traffic management into CI/CD pipelines.
