Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Azure Data Engineer with strong expertise in Azure-based data platforms and modern ETL frameworks. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing scalable data pipelines while collaborating closely with business and technical stakeholders.

Must Have Skills & Responsibilities

• 8–12 years of hands-on experience in Data Warehousing and ETL development

• Strong hands-on experience with Azure Cloud technologies including:

  • Azure Data Factory (ADF)

  • Azure Synapse Analytics

  • Azure Databricks

  • PySpark / Python

• Expertise in SQL for data transformation, validation, and performance tuning

• Ability to understand data architecture, design documents, and Source-to-Target Mapping (STTM)

• Create and maintain technical specifications, design documents, and data flow diagrams

• Experience in building end-to-end data pipelines (ingestion, transformation, and consumption)

• Strong debugging and performance optimization skills in cloud-based data solutions

• Willingness to work from client office locations as required

• Ability to mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Nice to Have

• Azure or Data-related certifications (Azure Data Engineer, Azure Solutions Architect, etc.)

• Exposure to GenAI / AI-based analytics or data solutions

• Domain experience in Banking, especially:

  • Risk & Regulatory

  • Commercial Banking

  • Credit Cards / Retail Banking

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
