Data Engineer

Job Description:

• Strong experience in data engineering, including largescale data integration, transformation, and pipeline development.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and PySpark (Python) for data processing and analytics workloads.
• Solid understanding of data modeling concepts, including dimensional modeling and relational design.
• Experience applying data governance, data quality frameworks, and compliance best practices.
• Proven ability to design and operate scalable data warehouses and bigdata solutions on cloud platforms.
• Handson experience with Databricks, AWS services (especially S3), and cloudnative data architectures.
• Familiarity with BI and reporting tools, particularly Amazon QuickSight.
• Ability to translate complex business needs into effective data strategies and technical solutions.

Job Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures using Databricks to support analytics, reporting, and operational use cases.
• Build and manage batch and streaming ingestion pipelines, leveraging AWS S3 as the foundational storage layer.
• Integrate and harmonize data from multiple systems to ensure accuracy, consistency, and timely availability.
• Partner with stakeholders to translate business and analytics requirements into robust data models and datasets.
• Implement and enforce data governance, quality, and security standards across the data platform.
• Optimize data storage, query performance, and cost efficiency within cloud and bigdata environments.
• Develop, test, and maintain data transformations using SQL and PySpark (Python) on Databricks.
• Enable reporting and dashboards through Amazon QuickSight, ensuring trusted and actionable insights.
• Contribute to technical documentation, best practices, and team knowledgesharing to foster collaboration and a strong team culture.

Education: Bachelor''s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.

GlobalLogic estimates the starting pay range for this role to be performed in Dallas, TX, to be $105,000 to $115,000, and reflects base salary only. This pay range is provided as a good-faith estimate, and the amount offered may be higher or lower.
