About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Pega Developer / Business Analyst with 11+ years of overall IT experience and deep expertise in the Pega Platform (PRPC) to bridge business requirements and technical delivery. This hybrid role requires someone equally comfortable gathering and analyzing business requirements as they are architecting and building scalable Pega applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements; translate them into functional and technical specifications for Pega application design
• Design, develop, and configure Pega applications including case types, flows, UI rules, decision rules, integrations, and reporting
• Lead requirement workshops, backlog grooming, and sprint planning sessions with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams
• Perform business process modeling (BPM) and process analysis to identify automation opportunities within Pega
• Own end-to-end delivery of Pega solutions — from requirement gathering through design, development, testing, deployment, and post-production support
• Collaborate with QA teams to define test scenarios, support UAT, and validate that delivered functionality meets business needs
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers and BAs on Pega best practices
• Work within Agile/Scrum delivery models, managing user stories, epics, and sprint deliverables
• Conduct code reviews, performance tuning, and troubleshooting for existing Pega applications
• Support integration efforts (REST/SOAP APIs, connectors, external system integrations)
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, design rationale, and knowledge-transfer materials
• Stay current with Pega platform upgrades (7.x/8.x and beyond) and recommend adoption where relevant

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 11+ years of total IT experience, with 7+ years of hands-on Pega Platform (PRPC) experience
• Strong command of both business analysis (requirements gathering, BPM, stakeholder management) and technical development (case management, flows, decision rules, integrations)
• Pega Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA) or Lead System Architect (LSA) certification strongly preferred
• Solid understanding of Pega architecture, security model, and service interfaces
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps)
• Proficiency in Java, J2EE, XML, SQL, and web technologies (JavaScript, CSS)
• Experience with REST/SOAP API integrations and third-party system connectivity
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to liaise between business and technical teams
• Experience with UAT planning, execution, and defect triage
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

• Domain experience in [Healthcare / Banking / Insurance / Government — customize as needed]
• Experience with Pega Customer Decision Hub (CDH) or Pega Marketing
• Exposure to cloud-based Pega deployments (Pega Cloud, AWS, Azure)
• FedRAMP or government clearance experience (for public sector roles)
• SAFe Agile certification
