Software Development Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has an enterprise client seeking a Software Development Engineer II in Seattle, WA. The ideal candidate is interested in a career in software development and is looking to utilize and expand their coding skills and gain exposure to a wide variety of software applications.

Summary:
The Content Platform team is looking for a Software Development Engineer who will act as first level support and development for all incoming production software application issues dealing with the mobile shopping app. Your solutions will impact our customers directly. Primary responsibilities include QA testing and release management support for the release and mobile beta release teams. You would also be responsible for identifying automation opportunities for both teams and creating and implementing the automated solutions. This could involve developing monitoring solutions, troubleshooting/debugging and implementing the fix for internally developed code (Perl, C/C++, JAVA), performing SQL queries, improving our systems that gather metrics on our features, updating, tracking and resolving technical challenges. Responsibilities also include working alongside development on automation of support processes and documentation of our systems.

REQUIREMENTS:
* A Computer Science or equivalent technical degree
* 2-5 years of relevant experience is required
* Mobile App Release experience
* Automation experience (mobile space preferred)
* Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills
* Have superior verbal and written communication skills
* Able to work independently and can maintain professionalism under pressure
* Preferred coding skills: Perl, C/C++ and/or Java
* Other desired technical skills include Mason, Perl CGI, Oracle SQL, HTML, UNIX/LINUX

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
