SAP FICO Functional Analyst

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP FICO Functional Analyst to support and enhance an established SAP ECC 6.0 landscape within a global manufacturing environment. This role is focused on production support, configuration, and continuous improvement, with no major SAP S/4HANA migration planned in the next 12–18 months.

The position offers the opportunity to work across global finance teams, contribute to ongoing enhancements, and help shape SAP FICO processes across North America, LATAM, and EMEA.

Workload Breakdown

·       60% SAP FICO support and configuration

·       20% system enhancements and process improvements

·       20% projects and data migration initiatives

Key Responsibilities

SAP FICO Support & Configuration

·       Provide functional support and configuration for SAP FICO modules including:

o   General Ledger (GL)

o   Accounts Payable (AP)

o   Accounts Receivable (AR)

o   Asset Accounting (AA)

o   Cost Center Accounting (CCA)

o   Profit Center Accounting (PCA)

o   CO-PA

·       Support month-end and year-end close activities

·       Troubleshoot and resolve complex functional and integration issues

Integrations & Enhancements

·       Support SAP integrations with third-party and bolt-on systems such as:

o   Concur

o   Vertex

o   Serrala FS2

o   HFM

·       Drive improvements related to:

o   Intercompany transactions

o   Tax interfaces

o   Electronic invoicing initiatives

Global & Cross-Functional Collaboration

·       Collaborate with:

o   SAP Global Support teams

o   ABAP developers

o   Basis and Security teams

o   Business finance stakeholders

o   Local finance and shared services teams

·       Balance global template standards with local business requirements

·       Support SAP localizations across North America, LATAM, and EMEA

Governance & Continuous Improvement

·       Contribute to SAP governance and PMO processes

·       Proactively identify opportunities for system and process optimization

·       Take ownership of assigned functional areas and deliverables

Reporting Structure

·       Direct reporting to FICO Team Lead (PMO)

·       Dotted-line reporting to IT Leadership

Required Qualifications

·       5+ years of hands-on SAP FICO experience in SAP ECC 6.0

·       Strong functional configuration expertise across core FICO modules

·       Experience supporting SAP in a manufacturing environment (preferred)

·       Proven ability to work in global, cross-functional teams

·       Familiarity with SAP integrations and third-party financial systems

·       Strong problem-solving, communication, and ownership mindset

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

·       SAP migration or data migration experience

·       Exposure to automation tools

·       Basic ABAP debugging awareness (functional-level)

·       Multilingual capabilities (Spanish, Portuguese, Mandarin)

·       Experience with SAP localizations and tax solutions in:

o   Brazil

o   Colombia

o   Mexico
