What you'll do in the role:

Morgan Stanley Services Group, Inc. is seeking a Vice President, Lead Software Engineer in Alpharetta, Georgia to design, develop, and maintain large scale software projects for the Wealth Management Platform. Develop new products and troubleshoot issues related to retail trading systems. Work with business partners and provide technical and procedural guidance to the project team. Produce detailed design specification from functional specifications. Contribute in designing, coding, testing, debugging, documenting and supporting all types of applications consistent with established specifications and business requirements to deliver business value. Develop business solutions by creating new, and modifying existing, software applications. Solve complex technical problems and apply advanced technical principles, theories and concepts to develop products. Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week.

What you'll bring to the role:

-Requires a Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field of study.

-Requires five (5) years of experience in the position offered or five (5) years as a Software Architect, Applications Developer, Technology Analyst, or related occupation in the technology field.

-Requires five (5) years of experience with the following skills:
  • Tomcat;
  • Maven; and
  • Oracle.

-Requires three (3) years of experience with the following skills:
  • Java 1.8;
  • Spring Boot 2.0;
  • Git;
  • Active MQ;
  • Confluence;
  • Reactive Programming;
  • RxJava;
  • Log4J;
  • Mockito;
  • JIRA;
  • Intellij Idea;
  • Linux; and
  • RabbitMQ.

-Requires two (2) years of experience with the following skills:
  • Magic Draw.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $185,000 and $185,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
