The Shift Leadis responsible fordirecting resources for properutilizationin the production process andensuringstandard work is being followed. Manage shift activities to achieve customer expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to and enforce mandatory safety requirements. Conduct safety observations and/or audits.
  • Monitor and enforce all safety policies while looking for ways to improve.
  • Meet attendance standards.
  • Technical Resource for all areas of production and finishing.
  • Drive standard work adherence ensuring set-up, run and finishing processes are being followed as outlined in Work Instructions.
  • Provide immediate support when press or finishing process is down: make-ready, troubleshooting,mechanical/process problems.
  • Lead daily tool boxmeetings in absence of press supervisors, discussing issuessuch as:quality, safety, performance, staffing, and scheduling.
  • Perform performance evaluation with each employee at least one timeperyear.
  • Complete daily shift schedule.
  • Communicate concerns, issues and status of orders at shift changes with peers and VSM as needed.
  • Report and perform RCCM safety incident investigation.
  • Schedule training and performance demonstrations for new employees.
  • Provide immediateconstructive feedback both positive and negative to peers and others.
  • Resolve daily staffing issues when necessary.
  • Communicate with other departments and the other Team leaders.
  • Related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Literate in MS Office applications
  • Ability to work with and troubleshoot Globetekand OBI
  • Leads and develops team members
  • Demonstrates a respectful and professional image

The physical demands require standing, using hands to finger, feel and touch; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear.This position requires frequent walking. Occasionally employee is required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Must be able to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds.Specific vision requirements are close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
