Dot Net Developer

Lead the end-to-end integration architecture for .NET microservices and API platforms supporting Costco business systems
Delivery as per agreed target-state integration architecture, covering APIs, microservices, messaging, and event-driven patterns
Design and govern RESTful APIs, microservices communication, and data integration strategies
Ensure adherence to non-functional requirements including scalability, performance, security, availability, and resiliency
Establish and enforce architecture standards, design patterns, and best practices for .NET and microservices
Provide technical oversight and guidance to offshore development and integration teams
Collaborate with business, infrastructure, security, and enterprise architecture teams to ensure alignment
Review solution designs, conduct architecture/design reviews, and mitigate technical risks early
Support release planning, production readiness, and ongoing optimisation of integration solutions

 

Required Skills & Experience

Strong hands-on architecture experience with .NET / .NET Core, C#, and microservices-based systems
Proven expertise in API-led integration using REST, OpenAPI/Swagger, and secure API patterns with Pub/Sub model
Experience with containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes or equivalent)
Solid understanding of integration patterns (sync/async, event-driven, messaging, pub-sub)
Experience with cloud-native architectures (Azure preferred) and enterprise integration platforms
Strong grasp of security concepts: OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT, API gateways
Ability to work in onshore-facing roles, engaging stakeholders and leading distributed teams
Excellent communication, documentation, and architectural decision-making skills

 

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

Experience working with large retail or enterprise clients
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps, and automated testing for microservices
Knowledge of integration with backend systems such as ERP, supply chain, or commerce platforms
