Senior DevOps & Data Engineer

Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior DevOps & Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure, databases, APIs, and data integration solutions in Microsoft Azure. This role combines DevOps, data engineering, and backend development responsibilities, supporting applications built with Python and FastAPI while enabling scalable, secure, and automated cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Infrastructure & DevOps

• Design, deploy, and manage Azure cloud infrastructure and services.
• Configure and maintain servers, virtual machines, networking, storage, and databases.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD deployment pipelines.
• Monitor system performance, reliability, security, and operational health.
• Automate deployments, environment provisioning, and operational processes.

Database & Data Engineering

• Configure, administer, and optimize PostgreSQL databases.
• Design and implement data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL/ELT) pipelines.
• Develop and maintain integrations with Snowflake and other enterprise data platforms.
• Create and optimize SQL queries, data models, and database schemas.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance across platforms.

API & Application Development

• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs using Python and FastAPI.
• Build integrations between cloud services, databases, and external systems.
• Support application architecture, testing, deployment, and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with software engineers and stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or related roles.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL administration and SQL development.
• Experience designing and supporting ETL/ELT data pipelines.
• Experience working with Snowflake data warehouse solutions.
• Proficiency in Python development and FastAPI framework.
• Experience with Git, source control, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong troubleshooting, automation, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of cloud security best practices and enterprise architecture patterns.
