Summary

Position: Java Developer
Location: 540 West Madison, Chicago, IL 60661 (5 days onsite/week) Need Only Local Candidates fo Chicago
Duration: 18 to 24 months contract
Tax Term: W2 Only

Candidate Must Have: OAuth2 + JWT + Spring Security

Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain Java-based microservices using Spring Boot
Design, build, and secure REST APIs
Integrate applications with an existing OAuth2 authentication system
Apply secure coding practices and remediate vulnerabilities
Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers
Collaborate with architecture, DevOps, and security teams to build scalable, secure solutions
Design and develop backend services while ensuring modern security best practices, including OAuth2, JWT, and Spring Security

Requirements:
Senior-level experience with Java and Spring Boot
8+ years of Java experience
Strong experience with Microservices and REST API development
Working knowledge of OAuth2, JWT, and Spring Security
Strong experience building secure, scalable microservices using Spring Boot, Java, and REST APIs
Security experience, i.e., experience working with security protocols such as Oauth, JWT, Spring Security

Desired skills:
Financial services industry experience
