Electrical Engineer I - Military Flight Controls Division

Military Flight Controls Division Supporting aircraft worldwide, Parker Aerospace's Military Flight Controls Division (MFCD) provides primary and secondary flight control systems that make flight possible. Tested, proven and trusted in commercial and military applications for decades, MFCD provides precise position-control actuation solutions for military aircraft across the United States and with foreign partners. The division's JetPipe electrohydraulic servovalve (EHSV) technology is used across commercial and military aircraft around the world. Headquartered in Irvine, California, the Military Flight Controls Division is the global leader in fly-by-wire flight control systems and electrohydraulic products and offers the world's most advanced motor design capabilities for flight controls.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Entry-Level Electrical Engineer in the Parker Aerospace Military Flight Control Division (MFCD), working in the Engineering Test Laboratory. An engineer in this position helps to create and maintain customized laboratory equipment to perform tests on a variety of Parker products. These products include hydraulic flight-control actuators, hydraulic manifolds, electro-mechanical aircraft actuators, or electronic boxes. In this position, you will be coached and mentored to design equipment, troubleshoot designs, and produce documentation per Parker's best practices. These reports will be the basis for which the tested aircraft is certified to be safe to fly.

Working in a test lab is a challenging but rewarding responsibility. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-in-career engineer to gain a wide breadth of knowledge. As a test engineer, you will work with all functional organizations within this company (calibration, procurement, shipping, inspection, design etc.) and will gain hands-on experience with multiple pieces of instrumentation. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, build, and maintain simple electrical and control systems using National Instruments hardware.
- Learn from experienced engineers about Parker's LabVIEW software architecture and best practices to develop the ability to build and maintain control and data acquisition systems.
- Ability to read and understand electrical and electronic schematics and circuits as well as make modification and improvement.
- Perform hands-on repairs of existing equipment and instrumentation.
- Begin the process of learning about Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) testing.
- Assist Design Engineers with failure troubleshooting of the tested units when necessary.
- Provide test status to program management
- Learn Parker's processes and how they apply to product development and certification.
- All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree (BS) in Electrical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
- Computer skills (MS Office, programming experience a plus)
- Technical Writing skills (procedures, reports)
- Knowledge of CAD software for 3D modeling and for circuit design.
- Hands-on experience with electronics and electronic repair preferred.
- Experience with LabVIEW a plus.

- Pay Range: \$72650 to \$121050 annually
- Participation in Annual Incentive Program
