Job Title: Senior Solutions Architect Energy & Utilities (Customer Systems, API & Cloud)

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Solutions Architect with a strong background in the Energy & Utilities domain. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in customer-facing utility applications, enterprise architecture, and system integrations, along with the ability to lead large-scale digital transformation initiatives.
This role requires a strategic thinker who can bridge business and technology, design scalable architectures, and collaborate with stakeholders across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Domain Expertise (Energy & Utilities)
- Provide functional and technical expertise across:
- Customer onboarding & service requests
- Meter-to-Cash (M2C) processes
- Billing & invoicing systems
- Tariff & rate configuration
- Credit & collections
- Regulatory compliance
- Demonstrate strong understanding of electricity, gas, or water utility operations
- Work on customer-centric platforms such as:
- Customer 360 solutions
- Smart grid integrations
- SSP & mobile applications
- Demand management systems
- DERMS & AMI data analytics
- Omnichannel customer experience platforms
Architecture & Technology
- Design and implement enterprise-scale architecture solutions
- Architect systems using:
- REST/SOAP APIs
- Microservices architecture
- Event-driven architectures
- ESB and integration platforms
- Define API strategies and data integration frameworks
- Leverage cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
- Ensure scalable, resilient, and cloud-native solution design
Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams
- Translate business requirements into robust technical architectures
- Lead architecture design reviews and governance forums
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams
- Drive alignment across cross-functional teams
Compliance & Security
- Ensure adherence to energy regulatory standards and compliance requirements
- Implement data privacy, cybersecurity, and IAM best practices
- Define strategies for audit, logging, monitoring, and observability
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of overall IT experience
- 5+ years in Architecture / Solution Architecture roles
- Strong experience in Energy & Utilities domain
- Proven expertise in enterprise architecture and system integrations
- Strong knowledge of:
- API design & management
- Cloud-native architectures
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in digital transformation programs within utilities
- TOGAF or equivalent certification
- Experience with large-scale utility modernization initiatives
