Summary

Role: Network Engineer

Location: New York City-Onsite

JD:

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute server farm migrations to new network infrastructure in coordination with server, application, and security teams
  • Design and implement server access configurations including VLANs, port-channels, ToR/access switches, IP addressing, and VXLAN segments
  • Implement and support VXLAN-based overlays and multicast requirements
  • Handle BAU network tasks tied to migration activities: VLAN changes, routing updates, interface configuration
  • Troubleshoot network issues using CLI tools and packet captures (Wireshark, tcpdump)
  • Configure and support Palo Alto firewalls for server farm connectivity and security
  • Document migration plans, rollback procedures, and post-migration validation results
  • Monitor network health during and after migrations and respond to tickets within defined SLAs
Required Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience in network engineering
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Hands-on expertise with Arista Networks: spine-leaf architecture, VXLAN, and EVPN
  • Strong packet analysis skills with Wireshark including stream dissection and issue identification
  • Solid understanding of BGP, MPLS, and VXLAN protocols
  • Strong Linux knowledge
  • Experience with automation tools: Ansible, Python, Terraform, and Git
  • Experience with Palo Alto firewalls in a data center or server farm environment
