Overview

System One is seeking an experienced Senior Product Analyst/Business System Analyst to support product and operational initiatives within a complex financial services and loan servicing environment. This role focuses on business and process analysis, requirements development, SQL-based data investigation, testing, production support, and coordination across business, technology, and vendor teams.
 

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex business processes, system interactions, and data flows; translate business needs into detailed requirements and user stories; and validate product enhancements through structured testing.
• Support production issue investigation, using SQL, system logs, and scenario reconstruction to identify root causes and work with technical and vendor teams through resolution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless communication and project delivery.
• Develop detailed business requirements, functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, and test cases.
• Create process flows and workflow diagrams using Visio or similar tools.
• Support testing activities, including test case development and execution, defect management, and support for SIT, UAT, and end-to-end testing.
• Investigate production issues, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate resolution efforts.
• Understand application behavior, system logic, integrations, and data relationships without requiring hands-on software development.
• Work within Agile delivery environments, collaborating with product, business, development, QA, and operations teams.
• Coordinate with third-party technology vendors for requirements clarification, deliverable reviews, testing, and issue resolution.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience as a Product Analyst, Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or similar role supporting complex business or technology initiatives.
• Strong business and process analysis skills, including understanding complex workflows, system interactions, data flows, and dependencies.
• Hands-on SQL experience for data analysis, validation, troubleshooting, and production issue investigation.
• Proven ability to develop detailed business requirements, functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, and test cases.
• Experience creating process flows and workflow diagrams using Visio or similar tools.
• Strong testing background, including test case development and execution, defect management, and support for SIT, UAT, and end-to-end testing.
• Experience investigating production issues, performing root cause analysis, and working with technical teams through resolution.
• Ability to understand application behavior, system logic, integrations, and data relationships without requiring hands-on software development.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments and collaborating with product, business, development, QA, and operations teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clarify complex requirements and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience coordinating with third-party technology vendors, including requirements clarification, deliverable reviews, testing, implementation readiness, and issue resolution.
• Familiarity with Jira, Apptio TargetProcess, or comparable Agile/product management tools.
• Experience with multifamily loan servicing, mortgage servicing, or related financial services operations is preferred.
• Familiarity with AWS-based application environments and cloud-based systems is beneficial.
• Comfortable using generative AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot or ChatGPT to support analysis, documentation, and day-to-day productivity.
• Educational Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
