Summary

Job Summary

Scope: Responsible for overseeing the ongoing development and growth of the Inpatient Digital Whiteboard solution. Primary users include patients and their visitors, physicians, and nursing staff.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing the product backlog including defining user stories for new features, bug resolution, and prioritization
  • Working closely with clinical practice stakeholders and Nursing Informatics to ensure integration into existing clinical workflows and edge cases
  • Collaborating with technical subject matter experts to determine data sources and expected accuracy
  • Partnering with internal design resources to guide feature design and obtain necessary approvals
  • Communicating with development teams and risk mitigation as required
  • Providing support for operational teams as they develop communication and training for end users
  • Partnering with QA and technical SMEs to conduct quality testing

Required:

  • Proof of detail-oriented mindset to ensure quality, including the ability to identify potential risks and escalate appropriately with affected stakeholders
  • Previous healthcare or health IT experience
  • Experience working in Agile teams

Preferred:

  • Experience in inpatient care setting
  • Experience with Epic EHR, especially with implementation
  • Adoption of AI to enable greater work capacity and quality
  • Previous JIRA experience

Responsible for driving the vision, strategy, business requirements, roadmap, and execution for assigned digital product. Advocates for the end-user experience through data and research-driven product discovery and development methods. Ensures alignment between Product, Business, and Platform priorities in the context of overall strategy and goals, while ensuring the end-user needs are met.

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversees the entire life cycle of the assigned product, from defining and setting the vision, managing team to hit product OKRs, deriving feature intention maps, managing capacity against scope - ultimately creating a best-in-class user/customer experience, while on time and within budget. Clearly defines what is being built and why – owning the problem statements and business rationale for the pod before solution development begins.
  • Accountable to the success of a cross-functional team including experts in design, IT, analytics, marketing, and others. Applies Agile product methodologies, manages sprints and delivery cadence. Responsible for driving the product strategy, vision, design, and development execution.
  • Leads a high-performing cross-functional team effectively and efficiently that is collaborative with business partners, customers, and other stakeholders (Engineering, UX/UI, Operations, Engagement, AI, etc.).
  • Makes sound product decisions independently on straightforward solutions within the defined product area. Escalates complex problems and cross-product decisions as needed.
  • Leverages market and customer feedback and data to inform and guide future product/feature development.
  • Leads discovery for the assigned product including user research, baseline definition, and opportunity sizing.
  • Manages stakeholder relationships within the assigned product area – facilitates alignment sessions, communicates progress, and surfaces risks early. Advocate for end-users and builds and improves features based on their pain points - strives to make product technology and workflows easy to use.
  • Proactively manages and monitors product and operational risks (regulatory, security, operational, etc.) to prevent and/or mitigate risks to the customer and business.
  • Ability to establish deep partnerships with business stakeholders to ensure product achieves business requirements and aligns to other organizational strategies and priorities.
  • Monitors and manages product schedules, scopes, and budgets and delivers as scheduled.
  • Manages external vendor and partnership relationships as assigned.
  • Sets and manages product performance scorecards and OKRs. Works collaboratively with business partners (Practice, Education, Research, Administration, Platform, International, Provider Relations) and Shared Services.
  • Works collaboratively with internal clients, including consultants, clinical and research professionals, administrators, and external business partners.
  • Represents in interactions with vendors, and non-partners in a positive and constructive way.
