Job Summary
The Principal AI Architect is a senior role responsible for defining and driving the enterprise-wide AI strategy, architecture, and roadmap. This role ensures the design and delivery of scalable, secure, and responsible AI solutions that align with business objectives and regulatory requirements. The Principal AI Architect partners across business and technology functions to enable innovation through advanced analytics, machine learning, and generative AI capabilities. The Principle Ai architect will be responsible for AI Governance process and procedures, AI FinOPs and AI architecture deliverables.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Participates as a top-level technical expert in leading multiple AI/ML consulting initiatives or a large/complex AI transformation program and ensures the success of enterprise-scale AI solution deployments.
  • Writes senior-level position papers on AI strategy, governance, and innovation, and leads executive briefings on AI opportunities, risks, and investments.
  • Takes a lead role in cross-functional enterprise AI architecture programs, including Responsible AI, ModelOps/LLMOps/FinOPS, and data modernization efforts.
  • Facilitates the establishment and implementation of standards and guidelines that govern the design of AI solutions, including model development, deployment, monitoring, and integration across enterprise platforms.
  • Has significant experience in AI/ML system development and demonstrates deep expertise across data platforms, machine learning, generative AI, APIs, and cloud-native technologies.
  • Aligns AI and data strategy with the company's business goals and objectives, ensuring measurable business value.
  • Drives the creation and implementation of a long-term strategic roadmap for AI architecture, including platforms, tools, and reusable patterns (e.g., RAG, agents, copilots).
  • Seamlessly integrates business strategy and digital/AI capabilities into the enterprise AI architecture roadmap.
  • Partners with business and technology stakeholders to elicit and translate business requirements into AI-driven solutions and intelligent automation opportunities.
  • Provides technical leadership across the enterprise on large-scale AI initiatives, including generative AI, predictive analytics, and decision intelligence.
  • Understands, advocates, and supports the enterprise's AI, data, and IT strategies, including governance and compliance requirements.
  • Analyzes industry, technology, and AI trends (e.g., GenAI, LLMs, multimodal AI) to determine their potential impact and value to the enterprise.
  • Evaluates the current AI/data landscape to identify gaps, risks, and opportunities, and recommends scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions.
  • Drives the implementation of enterprise AI governance policies, processes, and standards, including Responsible AI and model risk management.
  • Consults with program/project teams to ensure AI solutions align with enterprise architecture principles across business, data, application, and technology viewpoints.
  • Defines organizational requirements for skills, platforms, operating models, and cultural changes necessary to enable enterprise-wide AI adoption.
