IT Business Analyst

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking an IT Business Analyst in Jacksonville, FL.

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced IT Business Analyst to join a fast-paced Agile team on a short-term contract engagement. This individual will serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, helping gather requirements, document processes, manage work items, and support the successful delivery of technology initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong experience utilizing Jira and ServiceNow in an Agile environment and possess excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to gather, analyze, and document business requirements
* Translate business needs into detailed functional and technical requirements
* Create and maintain user stories, acceptance criteria, workflows, and process documentation
* Manage and prioritize work items, backlogs, and sprint activities within Jira
* Utilize ServiceNow to support incident, change, request, and workflow management processes
* Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups, reviews, and retrospectives
* Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiencies
* Track project progress, risks, dependencies, and issues while communicating updates to stakeholders
* Support testing efforts, user acceptance testing (UAT), and production readiness activities
* Partner closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery and stakeholder alignment

REQUIREMENTS:
* 3+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or related role
* Strong experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
* Hands-on experience using Jira for backlog management, sprint planning, reporting, and issue tracking
* Experience utilizing ServiceNow for IT service management processes and workflows
* Strong requirements gathering, business process analysis, and documentation skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
* Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
