The State of Colorado is seeking an experienced *Power BI Developer* to design, develop, optimize, and 
maintain enterprise Power BI solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Power BI, data modeling, 
DAX, performance tuning, data integration, and Power BI Service.

### Responsibilities
* Design and develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models for Power BI solutions.
* Create and optimize relationships between tables and establish reusable semantic models.
* Implement *Row-Level Security (RLS)* and *Column-Level Security (CLS)*.
* Develop complex *DAX measures, calculated columns, and custom calculations*.
* Analyze and optimize Power BI report and model performance using *DAX Studio* and Power BI performance tools.
* Connect Power BI to multiple data sources, including *SQL databases, Excel, APIs, streaming datasets, Google BigQuery, and ArcGIS map/feature layers*.
* Work with integration teams to determine appropriate data integration patterns.
* Reverse-engineer existing manual Excel processes and convert business logic into optimized Power BI solutions.
* Publish reports and datasets to *Power BI Service* and configure security, access controls, and automated refresh schedules.
* Manage and optimize large Power BI datasets.
* Use *Azure DevOps* for source control and version management.
* Stay current with AI tools that can improve data analysis and workflow efficiency.

### Required Skills

* Strong hands-on experience with *Microsoft Power BI*.
* Strong *DAX* development and performance optimization experience.
* Solid understanding of *data modeling and semantic models*.
* Experience with *DAX Studio* and Power BI Performance Analyzer.
* Experience with *Tabular Editor* and Best Practice Analyzer.
* Experience integrating Power BI with SQL, Excel, APIs, and cloud data sources.
* Strong knowledge of *Power BI Service*, deployment, security, and scheduled refresh.
* Intermediate-to-advanced *Excel* skills, including complex formulas and PivotTables.
* Experience with *Azure DevOps* and source/version control.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to understand existing business processes and translate them into scalable Power BI solutions.

### Preferred Skills

* Experience with *Google BigQuery*.
* Experience with *ArcGIS map/feature layers*.
* Familiarity with streaming datasets.
* Experience using *Google AI tools or other AI-assisted data tools*.

### Location Requirement

• The contractor *must perform all work from within the State of Colorado*.
  * *Denver Metro candidates are preferred.*
  * Non-local candidates may be considered if they are willing to *relocate to Colorado
  * Periodic in-person meetings will be required at the State of Colorado office in Denver.
